Why shred documents?
Theft, vandalism, and industrial espionage are ever increasing security problems. Today's information explosion can be devastating to your business. Did you know that you have a legal responsibility to ensure that confidential information is not disseminated? Shredding can protect you from potential lawsuits. Don't have your confidential information getting into the wrong hands. Our goal is to make the job of shredding easy and cost effective for your business or personal needs.
Why utilize a shredding service instead of a recycling program?
If security is important to your company, then shredding should be as well. Recycling offers NO security for your information.
Why use an offsite shredding service?
Most businesses use a shredding service, and they may assume they need to witness the shredding process. This leads many businesses to start with mobile shredding services which require contracts that can become quite costly. However, experienced records managers discover that the economics of offsite shredding makes a great deal of sense. Another advantage of an offsite shredding service is the ability to shred a wider variety of material. This can include not only paper but also corrugated materials, binders, hard plastics, electronic media such as cds and magnetic tape, and computer hard drives.
How do you ensure the security of your documents?
After the material is picked up, it is immediately shredded. The shredder bay is entirely contained and your documents are "dumped" into the shredder itself. We encourage and welcome any customer to visit Highland Shredding to witness the shredding process. Call for more information regarding witnessing the shredding process.
How is the material shredded?
Our equipment randomly rips and tears the documents with a special system of 42 rotating knives. It then compacts the shredded material into very small pieces. Unlike strip shredding, this process is the most secure because no reconstruction can occur.
What happens to your material after it is shredded?
Highland Shredding is a one hundred percent green company. Once shredded, all paper and product are completely recycled. You will have the benefits of security and recycling in one reliable service.
Why employ a shredding service?
Most businesses have shredding that needs to be done regularly. We provide free shredding bins placed in your office. You simply place all documents to be shredded in the secure bin. Your private information gets properly destroyed, avoiding unnecessary exposure.
How much does it cost?
Unlike some shredding companies, we do not charge a minimum pickup fee or require you to sign a yearly contract. Prices are based on how much material you have to be shredded and how often you require a pickup.
Who needs our service?
